PLAYER PROFILES
Nick Dew is a two way starter at defensive end and wing back. He is a
captain
and is ranked as the #6 overall safety by ESPN. Dew has explosive speed
and covers a large area of the field on defense. He is
capable of
playing multiple positions on defense, so look for the Patriots to move
him around depending on the game situation.
Willie Byrn is an exceptional athlete who will also start both ways at
saftey
and running back. Willie poses amazing speed and instincts on the
playing field. Byrn is an playmaker. Look for Byrn is be a leader
rushing and catching the ball. Byrn aslo is a key player on special
teams returning punts. Byrn is like having a coach on the feild , a
starter on offense and defense for three straight years.
Tyrell Smith is another two way starter at full back and outside
linebacker.
Although not your typical fullback with a 4.6 in the 40 yard dash, he
packs a nice punch to the FC backfield. Smith leads by example. He is a
hard nose player who compete every play. He is capable of exposing the
middle of the defense with his quick inside runs. If
the opponents
are looking for the Patriots to get to the edge Smith could be a inside
playmaker for the patriot's offense.
Trace Rossi anchors the offensive line at center. He is a team leader
and is a powerful offensive lineman at 6'0" 250. Rossi is a consistent
performer on the offensive line and will provide senor leadership.
Daryl
Brown is a 6'1" 215 pound senor linbacker who is an outstanding run
stopper yet can just as easily drop into pass coverage. Brown
takes good angles while defending the run. Look for Brown, a
hard
hitting linebacker to be a team leader.
Sophmore Anderson
Miller, who is 6'1" 205 pounds. Miller, who started as a freshman will
become a dominant force on defense as the season continues.
Miller has the size and speed to excell as a linebacker.
Allen
"AJ" Bordley 5'10" Jr athlete who will play a multitute of positions on
offense and defense. Look for the Patriots to move Brodley around to
take advantage of his speed and hard playing style.
Conner
Mewbourne 6'4" 265 Jr will be a force of both lines of scrimage for the
patriots. Mewbourne has the size, power and quickness to help
the
patriots control the line of scrimage. Improved line play will be a key
to the patriots sucess this year. Look for Mewbourne to be a leader in
an emerging line for the Patriots.
Tyler Lutz 6"0 Sr. defensive tackle is one of the leaders for FC's
stingy 2009 defense. He is a big player who has a very nice burst to go
along with a big frame. He was voted one of the captains of the team.
Look for him to be an anchor of this defense.
Michael Gancio a 5'7" Sr
quarterback with good speed will lead the Patiots running attack.
Gancio has worked hard on his quarterback techniques and has put
himself in a position to help lead the Patriots.
Jabari Evans a
6'0" So cornerback has emerged as a starter on a strong Patriot
defense. Evans has good instincts, quickness and game
understanding to be an imediate key player for the Patriots.
Jeff Yates a Sr punter has looked good in
pre-season with high hanging punts. The kicking game should be a
strength for the Patriots this year as field position with good defense
could prove to be a winning game strategy.
Mike Mugler is a Sr
place kicker and kckoff specialist. Mugler has a very strong leg and
will be an asset on kickoff as field position will be important to the
Patriots. Mugler has the ability to make feild goals and has
the
experience to do so when the Patriots need the points.
Ben
Hux Jr 6'2" 225 has looked strong at offensive gurad in the pre-season.
Hux comes off the ball hard and will improve as he gets more game time
this year.
Mykell
Stanley 5"11 Jr has done a outstanding job at outside linebacker so
far. He is a bit undersized but posses incredible strength, speed and
football IQ. Also, look for Mykell to spell Nick Dew at wingback.
Cecil
Garber 6"0 Jr is a solid contributer on defense. He can play several
positions including middle linebacker as well as defensive end. Cecil
is a powerful hitter and also starts at offensive guard. His athletic
abiltiy will prove vita in traps and other pulling assingments.
Tyler
Yarborough 6"0 Jr is a starter at defensive tackle. He is a very solid,
smart player that also provides solid depth on the offensive line.
Randell
Wilson 6"3 Sr is a big strong player who will start at offensive tackle
this season. He will benefit from playing time last season as he looks
to help this emerging Patriot's offensive line.
Kevin Feggins
6"1 Jr is a playmaker at defensive tackle. He weighs over 300 pounds
and has lost almost 40 pounds this spring/summer. He is still
getting into shape, but he has proved to be vital in short yardage
situations stopping the run. He is a young prospect with a lot of
potential.
Dalton DesRoches is a sophmore, 5'11" 180 pound quarterback who has
filled in nicely so far this year for the Patriots. He leads the team
in Touchdown passes, completions, and passing yards.
Luke Gray is a senior leader for FC. He is a versatile athlete for
the Patriots. He plays multiple positions on offense and is one of the
Patriots leading threats in the passing game.
